On August 16, we will have our annual New Moon in Leo. This is an internal firework display, a potential, an idea. New moons are a time of new possibilities, of what can manifest, new horizons. As the moon is not reflecting the Sun's light to us, we can focus fully on our spirit's needs, align emotions with vitality, and reflect on our eternal flame, showing loyalty to ourselves. It's a time to balance yin and yang. Leo is Fixed Fire, ruled by the Sun, symbolized by the Lion, king of the beasts. It represents Spirit, from where our creativity flows, our Shine, ancient, powerful.
And what does the sky advise about this Leo New Moon of 2023? This lunation brings a brilliant burst of creativity, a spontaneous, radiant feeling of being alive. Wildness, excitement, freedom. We are the Originals! It's a great time to reevaluate and move away from old tastes that now seem superficial and unfulfilling. We don't want cotton candy and sweet words, we want real Love, Spirit, Soul. The Moon can also tap into a well of support, kind and generous aid from those who have been where we are, where we want to go, figures past and present - a true gift from Spirit.
What to watch for: the planets' vibe in a lower expression could show us a manic, hyper energy, unwilling to compromise, impractical, impulsive, and unpredictable. The urge to do something productive could be lost in details, confused or confusing words, magical thinking, and feeling irritable or annoyed. Words could be expressed as passive aggression instead of straight. Oh yeah, and don't overdose on the sugar.
We have to slow down, think, and analyze. We remember to let the energy flow through us rather than try to hold it in a bottle. It can be happily channeled into doing the right thing and speaking up for the right reasons. We can feel proud of our courage, which brings healing to ourselves and also to those in genuine need of it, like a river glistening in silver and gold.
We’ve got what it takes to stay the course, glow in the flow, Radiantly Alive!

Holding focus. "Giving attention only to what matters." We cannot expect to excel, to achieve mastery of any kind unless we bring total concentration to the matter at hand. - James Burgess
Diaphragmatic breathing
Leo rules the heart, spine, spinal column, and upper back. The Sun rules the right eye of a yang person and the left eye of a yin person.
The sky lacks planets in air, so incorporating breathwork this fortnight sounds like a great combination.
Leo is persistent, so we remind ourselves that we've got what it takes to stay the course.
"There is no innovation and creativity without failure." - Brené Brown
